From Sunday, July 27th, to Samstag, 2. August 2025, the international guitar festival and the 14th international MARTINEZ guitarduo competition (Prize of the Sparkasse Iserlohn) will take place for the 33rd time - again at the heart of the City of Iserlohn.
Teaching takes place in the rooms of the Music School Iserlohn (a beautigful building from the 19th Century), guitar exhibitions and smaller afternoon concerts also take place here.
The three-round competition takes place during the festival in the Aula (Forum) of the Stenner-Gymnasium Iserlohn (Stennerstrasse 5) on Monday, July 28th (1st round - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.), Wednesday, July 30th (2nd round from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.), and on Friday, August 1st, 2025 (finale in the Oberste Stadtkirche Iserlohn at 7:00 p.m.).
Depending on the arrangement, each festival participant receives three or four active lessons (45 minutes), various chamber music lessons and lessons in various technical classes. Participants of the competition receive three active lseeons. Studnets will have the opportunity for a public concert in the Oberste Stadtkirche Iserlohn on Saturday August 2nd at 7.30pm.
