From Sunday, July 26^th, to Saturday, 1^st of August 2026, the international guitar festival and the 15^th international Guitar Solo competition (Prize of the Sparkasse Iserlohn) will take place for the 34^th time - again at the heart of the City of Iserlohn.

Teaching takes place in the rooms of the Music School Iserlohn (a beautiful building from the 19^th Century), sheet music exhibition by Musik Trekel and guitar exhibition by 30 luthiers from all over the world will also take place here.

The three-round competition takes place during the festival in the Aula (Forum) of the Stenner-Gymnasium Iserlohn (Stennerstrasse 5) on Monday, July 27^th (1^st round - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.), Wednesday, July 29^th (2^nd round from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.), and on Friday, 31^st, 2026 (finals in the Oberste Stadtkirche Iserlohn at 7:00 p.m.).

Depending on the arrangement, each festival participant receives three or four active lessons (45 minutes), various chamber music lessons and lessons in various technique classes. Participants of the competition receive three active lessons. Students will have the opportunity for a public concert in the Oberste Stadtkirche Iserlohn on Saturday August 1^st at 7.30pm.
