From Sunday, July 28th, to Samstag, 3. August 2024, the international guitar festival and the 13th international MARTINEZ guitar competition (Prize of the Sparkasse Iserlohn) will take place for the 32nd time - again at the heart of the City of Iserlohn.
Teaching takes place in the rooms of the City Galery Iserlohn and in rooms of the town Iserlohn near the Festival-Building, exhibitions and smaller afternoon concerts can also be found in the City Galery.
The three-round competition takes place during the festival in the Oberste Stadtkirche Iserlohn on Monday, July 29th (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), Wednesday, July 31st (2nd round from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.), and on Friday, August 2nd, 2024 (finale in the Oberste Stadtkirche Iserlohn at 7:00 p.m.).
Depending on the arrangement, each festival participant receives three or four active lessons (45 minutes), various chamber music lessons and lessons in various technical classes. Competitors receive two hours of instruction. The seminarians will have the opportunity for a public concert in the Oberste Stadtkirche Iserlohn on Saturday August 3rd at 7.30pm.

Numerous lecturers have agreed to attend the master classes, some of whom will also appear as concert artists during the guitar festival.
