The 19th International Guitar Symposium 2010 Iserlohn

Welcome to the web-site of the International Guitar-Symposium - one of the largest Guitar Festivals in Europe.

The 19th International Symposium takes place from Sunday, August 15th to Sunday, August 22nd 2010. For the third time we will be in the newly renovated Haus Villigst, an old manor from the 12th Century. The evangelic church startet to use it as a conference place in 1948.

Haus Villigst offers beautiful residences with large single and double rooms, each with wc/shower facilities and 18 fantastic teaching rooms.

After 16 happy years, the International Guitar Sympsosium finds here in Haus Villigst (8km from Iserlohn) it’s new home.

All concerts will still take place in Iserlohn (Parktheatre and Oberste Stadtkirche) - transfers with busses will be organised by the festival.

The Highlights of the th Guitar-Symposium:

• 13 Concerts
• more than 600 indivdual lessons for solo, duo, ensemble
• four lectures
• Ensemble (two guitar-orchestras)

Also at the 19th International Guitar-Symposium there will be Exhibitions from more than 25 Guitar builders from 12 countries, Exhibitions from Musik Trekel (Hamburg) and Chanterelle (Heidelberg), Video-Lectures and Video analysis, Choir, Guitar-Orchestra and much more.
